I can’t believe another year has begun. I always look forward to new beginnings, and here we are, looking at 2016. I don’t know about you, but I usually make a few New Year’s resolutions. It seems the right thing to do when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, the Waterford Crystal Ball drops in New York’s Times Square and my husband and I clink our glasses of champagne in greeting a new year.

This issue features a few articles that might be of interest to you, depending on your resolutions for the New Year. Wellness is on a lot of people’s minds, and The Breakers in Palm Beach has a new program they have implemented, with a wellness coach, et al. So, if you’d like to take a flight to Florida–it’s perfect this time of year–and be energized and challenged to create a healthier you, read Andrea Poe’s story. And, don’t miss Zara Cerni’s suggestions for ‘Living Long~Looking Good.’ It never hurts to be reminded how important it is to eat a balanced diet, exercise, drink lots of water, sleep well and, for women, renewal treatments!

If you’re into cleaning up the clutter, you must read Parting Thoughts and Lisa Cooke Harrison’s treatise on the “Great Purge & Clean of 2016.” And, speaking of cleaning, don’t we all have a closet or two that is in need of some serious attention. Our article on ClosetAuctions is a revelation. It involves trading items from our closets for points, and those points can be used in an ‘auction’ for products and services. Interesting, isn’t it?

Do read about the Tudor Del Mar beachfront estate on Corona del Mar’s famous Ocean Boulevard. The one-of-a-kind property cascades to the sands of Big Corona beach, with its own private sports court on the sand. How cool is that?

Reading about Bob Olson’s blue collar beginnings that really helped form him into the amazing builder/developer he is today is such an inspiring story. Launching 15 hotels in California and Maui since 2011, many that he owns, just keeps him grateful he is doing what he loves.

As I close, please enjoy our anniversary party feature in celebration of Newport Beach Lifestyle’s second anniversary. It is such a pleasure being able to showcase the many amazing people in this community. We truly are inspired by all of you!

May your New Year be filled with joy and contentment!
