‘A Jewel of an Island’

Balboa Island Museum is offering a great charm necklace that matches the street names on the island. In 1910, Edward Spencer, who was involved with the early real estate development of “a jewel of an island,” as he referred to Balboa Island, allowed his daughters to name the streets after their favorite precious stones. There are gold and silver options in sapphire, pearl, amethyst, emerald, topaz, ruby, diamond, garnet, jade, and aquamarine. $45–Members; $50–Non-Members.
