Gala launched by Frank Di Bella to benefit City of Hope

Ken Ketner, a founding committee member, and many others expressed their appreciation for the generous efforts of those in attendance at the City of Hope’s fourth annual “Let’s Be Frank About Cancer” Gala held in March.

“With the support of many Newport Beach residents and guests that were in attendance, this event hit a philanthropic home run in its effort to support Frank and the City of Hope’s fight against cancer,” Ketner stated.

The benefit, founded by Frank Di Bella, drew 480 guests, successfully raised more than $1,005,987 and honored Donna Porter, a cancer survivor and current City of Hope patient and President of Premier Framing.

Porter, along with Marybelle and S. Paul Musco, were Platinum Sponsors of the event. Mobilitie was the events’ Diamond Sponsor. Ken and Cheri Ketner of Newport Beach were Gold Sponsors of the evening, along with Michael and JoAnn Sweig.

Other notable guests and large donors in attendance included Shannon and George Argyros Jr. of the Argyros Family Foundation, Gary Jabara, CEO of Mobilitie, Milan Panic, California TrusFrame, District Attorney Tony Rackauckus, and Dr. Sumanta Pal, who heads cancer research at City of Hope.
